Overview.
Assemble Swift Walk is a large-scale Build-to-Rent community located at 402 Macaulay Road, Kensington, and one of Melbourne’s most significant mixed-income residential developments. Designed to deliver long-term rental certainty alongside pathways to ownership, the precinct required a connectivity solution capable of performing reliably across 362 apartments and a diverse mix of residents and tenure types.

Gigafy's Role.
Gigafy designed and delivered a fibre-first network across Swift Walk, built to match the scale and social ambition of the development. The solution provides symmetrical high-speed internet to all residences and shared spaces, underpinned by a single SSID Wi-Fi network that allows residents to roam seamlessly between apartments, co-working hubs, rooftop terraces, and communal areas without interruption.
Smart-building infrastructure (including CCTV, intercoms, and EV-ready capability) was integrated into a single platform, reducing complexity for the management team. By taking responsibility for resident billing, compliance, and support, Gigafy removed the operational burden from Assemble entirely.
The Outcome.
- 362 apartments connected
- Symmetrical high-speed internet across all residences and shared spaces
- Seamless single SSID Wi-Fi throughout the entire precinct
- Integrated smart-building infrastructure including CCTV, intercoms, and EV-ready capability
- Simplified property management through Gigafy-managed billing and resident support
Today, Gigafy continues to operate and support the network, delivering reliable connectivity and long-term performance for residents, management, and ownership.
